It’s been reported over the last 24 hours that James Wan, Chris Morgan and Universal Studio have decided to work Paul Walker’s scenes into the film and to retire the character….and killing him off is not on the cards.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plan is to retire the character in a way that the studio hopes will satisfy and make use of the footage already shot with Paul Walker.
Director James Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum have been looking over the footage already shot the last number of weeks and will now work on the script to still keep Paul Walker as a factor in the story but be written off, allowing the franchise to continue.
Overall this makes perfect sense for the creative minds and the studio to make the best call from a tragic situation.
Paul Walker tragically passed away on the 20th November and Fast & Furious 7 is scheduled to be released now in April 2015.
