Suicide Squad: David Ayer Reveals Cast Photo

Film News - David Ayer Reveals First Cast Photo of The Suicide SquadThe photo that has got alot of film lovers talking the last 24 hours has been the photo that David Ayer post on his twitter of getting the Suicide Squad cast together for a table read.

What’s noticeable about the photo is that a few more actors have joined the ever growing cast that I didn’t know where attached, such as Adam Beach (Windtalkers), Jim Parrack (True Blood and Fury) and Ike Barionholtz (Bad Neighbours), with Joel Kinnaman now officially amongst the cast as Rick Flag. Also in the picture we have Will Smith (Deadshot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and Cara Delevinge (Enchantress). The most notable absentee from the photo is of course Jared Leto, who will be playing the iconic villain The Joker but that’s understandable considering he’s still touring with 30 Seconds to Mars and has been spending the last few weeks teasing about his ‘transformation’ look for the part while touring as well as brief clips online of him putting on ‘The Joker’ish style voice spin of his own.

I’m intrigued with the new additions to the cast and trying to figure out who they could play, particularly Jim Parrack, Jay Hernandez and Ike Barionholtz. I won’t talk about the rumours of who they’ll be as they’re just exactly that, however Suicide Squad is shaping up to be just as pivotal to DC/Warner Bros expanded universe as the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

Suicide Squad is set for an Auguest 2016 cinematic release and filming should begin later this month.
