Batman – The Killing Joke: Will Mark Hamill Be Voicing The Joker?

Film News - Batman The Killing Joke - Reports of Mark Hamill Voicing The JokerCollider reports that sources that not only Mark Hamill will voice the Joker for the upcoming animated film ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’, he’s already recorded his voice acting for the film.

Mark Hamill (aka Luke Skywalker motherfucker!) has been voicing the Clown Prince of Crime now for over twenty years, since the Batman: The Animated Series show back in 1992 and onto the Arkham video game trilogy (Asylum, City & Knight) and has stated previously that if ever The Killing Joke was to be adapted for an animated film that he would love to reprise the role. Though various sites are running with the report from Collider, Mark Hamill is keeping the cards close to his chest in regards to playing coy about the report, still having his fingers crossed when quizzed about it by fans.

Along with the news of Hamill reprising the role he’s been the voice of for the last few decades, another returning voice could be Kevin Conroy aka THE Batman, when he spoke with when quizzed about would he return for it to work with Hamill.

Oh, God! Are you kidding me? I’d do it in a heartbeat. I love working with him. I couldn’t believe when they killed off The Joker. I would love to do it, and I hope that that happens.

The Killing Joke graphic novel is considered to be one of the most popular Batman stories ever published, giving the readers possibly the closest thing to a Joker origin story we’ll ever get. I’ve not been the biggest fan of the current run of DC animated films that have come out since Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox but since the announcement that they were doing The Killing Joke animated film I’ve had an interesting in it and it’s definitely worth getting excited about if we get the return of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill in the roles.

Batman: The Killing Joke is set to be released sometime in 2016.

    • That’s why Jason O’Mara voicing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the latest Animated Films hasn’t worked for me.

      • I guess it depends on what you grew up with. Animated Batman and Jokerbwill always be Conroy and Hamill and then when they added them to the games it was the perfect fit!
