Blade Runner: Robin Wright In Negotiations To Star In Sequel

Film News - Blade Runner - Robin Wright In Negotiations To Star In SequelVariety exclusively reported last night that House of Cards actress Robin Wright is in the final stages of negotiation to star in Alcon Entertainment’s Blade Runner sequel.

The report states that the studio have been eyeing up attaching Robin Wright to the project for some time, though some thought that she might be unavailable due to her complicated schedule with House of Cards and currently filming on set of Wonder Woman, but sources claim that they have worked it out and a deal is close to being sealed.

Robin Wright will be joining the sequel that will have Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners and Sicario) in the directors chair and Harrison Ford will be reprising the role of Rick Deckard, that he played in the original back in 1982, and starring alongside him is Ryan Gosling for the as of yet untitled film.

Blade Runner 2 is scheduled for cinematic release on the 12th January 2018.
