Iron Fist: Jessica Henwick Joins Marvel’s Netflix Series


TV News - Iron Fist - Jessica Henwick Joins Marvel's Netflix SeriesMarvel has revealed that Jessica Henwick will be joining fellow Game of Thrones cast member Finn Jones for the upcoming Netflix series Iron Fist.

 

The synopsis for Iron Fist is as follows:

Daniel Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

 

Henwick has been cast in the role of Collen Wing, a martial arts expert that runs her own dojo, who is the daughter of a Chinese-American New York City professor and a Japanese mother and an invaluable ally to Danny Rand as he returns to New York.

 

Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott Buck said:

I’m very excited to have Jessica as our Colleen Wing. She’s shown us that she can bring both a sense of quiet strength as well as an engaging vulnerability to the character.

Jessica Henwick starred in the fifth season of Game of Thrones as one of the sand snakes Nymeria Sand and also had a minor role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as X-Wing pilot Jess Testor.
