Agent Carter: Series Cancelled After 2 Seasons

TV News - Agent Carter - Series Cancelled After 2 SeasonsMedia outlets have begun reporting that the ABC network have officially cancelled Marvel series Agent Carter after two seasons.

Agent Carter‘s first and second seasons (total of 18 episodes) aired during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midseason breaks starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter after her initial appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger and covering her work as a secret agent in 1940’s America. She would reprise the role once again on the big screen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Another actor that would reprise their role from The First Avenger was Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark for a few episodes during the shows run.

I know some people will be incredibly disappointed with the confirmation that Agent Carter is cancelled and they’ll hate me even more that I’ve still not gotten around to watching one episode of the series yet. I really liked the character from The First Avenger but Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D when it first started just didn’t cut it for me (which I haven’t seen past the first season) and think that rubbed off on neglecting Agent Carter also. Oddly though Atwell will be appearing in a new ABC series in the 2016-2017 season called Conviction so if you’re a fan of hers you can still catch her on your small screens this coming fall.
