Game Of Silence: Cancelled By NBC After One Season

TV News - Game of Silence - Cancelled By NBC After One SeasonMedia outlets are reporting that the NBC Network have decided to put Game of Silence to rest, cancelling the series after one season.

The Sony Pictures Television drama, based on the Turkish series Suskunlar (Translates as Game of Silence), focusing on childhood friends confronting a conspiracy between Texas state politics and organised crime when they reunite to avenge their harsh treatment at a juvenile correctional facility twenty-five years ago. The dark drama has received lukewarm reviews and low but steady rated viewing (estimated to be around 5.5m viewers) and starred David Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Larenz Tate, Bre Blair, Claire van der Boom, Nikki Tomlinson, Demetrius Grosse, Deidrie Henry and Conor O’Farrell. Game of Silence has currently aired six episodes and it’s unclear whether the network will air the remaining four with these reports about its cancellation.

I’ve only seen the first couple of episodes and while I enjoyed the chemistry between the childhood friends, it always felt that the show wouldn’t last on the air in the long term on NBC and now that proves to be the case.
