Limitless: Series Cancelled By CBS After One Season

TV News - Limitless - Seres Cancelled By CBS After One SeasonWell news of Limitless has been rumoured for some time and now it’s officially confirmed that the series has been cancelled by CBS after one season and will not appear on any other platform.

CBS TV Studios have been quietly shopping the series to another network to keep the show alive when it became clear that the CBS network were not going to renew the series, it unfortunately that has led to nothing and the series has been cancelled altogether as stated by showrunner Craig Sweeny below:

Craig Sweeny on Limitless CancellationLimitless was a followup to the 2011 film which starred Bradley Cooper, who served as an Executive Producer on the show as well as recurred as a guest star reprising his role as Eddie Mora, where we followed Brian Finch, an average 28-year old man that gains the ability to use the full extent of his brain’s capabilities thanks to a miracle drug known as NZT-48, which a meeting with U.S. Senator Eddie Morra provides him with an immunity shot to counteract NZT’s deadly side effects. Brian is hired by the FBI as a consultant help FBI agent Rebecca Harris. The cast of Limitless included Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter, Hill Harper, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Ron Rifkin, Blair Brown, Megan Guinan, Tom Degnan, Michael James Shaw and Colin Salmon.

Not going to lie, out of all the shows cancelled this season I’m actually disappointed that Limitless has been canned. It was a procedural drama with room to grow upon the mythology behind the NZT drug and had a likeable cast and out of all the film to tv adaptations this season, I have enjoyed this the most. Shame.
