Legends Of Tomorrow: Maisie Richardson-Sellers To Play New Vixen

TV News - Legends of Tomorrow - Maisie Richardson-Sellers to play new VixenMedia outlets are just reporting that CW’s Legends of Tomorrow have found their new Vixen in actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

Richardson-Sellers will be a series regular in the shows second season as Amaya Jiwe, is a previous incarnation of Vixen and the grandmother of current timeline Vixen, Mari McCabe (played by Megalyn Echikunwoke), those abilities and powers are derived from the mysterious Tantu Totem, which allows her to magically access the abilities of animals.

The casting announcement comes a few weeks after it was revealed that the network and creative team would be putting a new version of Vixen on Legends second season due to Megalyn Echikunwoke not being available to have a larger on-screen presence on the show due to scheduling conflicts, but she will still be voicing the character on the animated series on CW Seed and the door has been left open for her to appear in live-action form on Arrow/The Flash when available.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers (whose credits include The Originals, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Of Kings and Prophets) will be joining newcomers Patrick J. Adams (Hourman) and Nick Zano (Dr. Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel) and returning cast members are Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter), Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave), Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Franz Drameh (Jefferson ‘Jax’ Jackson/Firestorm) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm).
