Deadline exclusively reports that Vincent D’Onofrio and Dean Norris will be joining Bruce Willis on Paramount and MGM’s revamp of the 1974 Charles Bronson film Death Wish.
Eli Roth is attached to direct the film, which us following a man named Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) whose life is destroyed by a violent crime against his wife and daughter. Frustrated that the bad guys were not brought to justice for the violence degradation that the thus inflicted on his family, Paul starts to hunt down the perpetrators himself. Roger Birnbaum is serving as Producer for the film.
The report states that Vincent D’Onofrio (whose credits include Jurassic World, Daredevil and The Magnificent Seven) will be playing Paul Kersey’s brother, while Dean Norris (whose credits include Breaking Bad and Under The Dome) will be playing the role of Detective Rains.
There is no cinematic release date as of yet for Death Wish but production is scheduled to begin on the 26th September in Montreal and Chicago.
