The synopsis for the film is as follows:
Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.
While the first trailer didn’t sell me much for the live-action retelling, I’ll say that at least the special effects of Beast look more polished…well either that or I’m coming used to these new designs of the characters. Even with the brief few seconds we get of the character in this trailer, I get the feeling that Luke Evans take on Gaston could steal the show. Beauty And The Beast is directed by Bill Condon and the cast includes Emma Watson (Belle), Dan Stevens (Beast), Luke Evans (Gaston), Kevin Kline (Maurice), Josh Gad (Lefou), Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Stanley Tucci (Maestro Cadenza), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Plumette), Audra McDonald (Madame Garderobe), Ian McKellen (Cogsworth) and Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts).
Beauty And The Beast is scheduled for cinematic release on the 17th March 2017.
