Captain Marvel: Geneva Robertson-Dworet To Pen Script For Marvel Studios

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Marvel have signed up Geneva Robertson-Dworet to write the script for their upcoming entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel will have us following Carol Danvers, an air force pilot whose DNA is fused with that of an alien during an accident. The resulting alternation imbues her with the powers of super strength, energy projection and flight.

Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman originally were set to write the script for Marvel, but LeFauve had to leave to direct the Disney Animation film Gigantic with Nathan Greno. Geneva Robertson-Dworet has written screenplays for the upcoming Tomb Raider, Gotham City Sirens and Sherlock Holmes 3.

Captain Marvel is being directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with Brie Larson in the title role and is scheduled for cinematic release on the 8th March 2019.
