Legion: Saïd Taghmaoui Exits Season 2

Said Taghmaoui revealed on social media this weekend that he’s no longer part of FX’s upcoming second season of Legion.

The first season introduced us to David Haller. Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

Variety reports that an FX spokesperson confirmed that Taghmaoui has left the production, stating that the decision was made to recast his role. There was no further comment on the news and a new actor has yet to be cast in the role.

Legion’s first season starred Dan StevensRachel KellerAubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Jean Smart.
