Bad Boys For Life: Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah In Talks With Sony To Direct


Deadline is exclusively reporting that Sony is in talks with directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to helm the Bad Boys sequel Bad Boys For Life.

 

The Bad Boys films focuses on two Miami Detectives, Marcus Bennett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowry (Will Smith), with the first film released in 1995 making $141m worldwide and the second film released in 2003 making $273m.

 

The directors, both from Morocco, have directed feature films Black, Image and Gangsta, whilst they also directed a few episodes of FX series Snowfall. A third instalment in the Bad Boys franchise has been long in development, with the last bit of news being Joe Carnahan leaving the project in March last year.

 

Currently there’s a Bad Boys spinoff television series in the works, with NBC giving a pilot order for it which will star Gabrielle Union and Ernie Hudson.
