Universal has released the first trailer for action thriller Skyscraper starring Dwayne Johnson during the Superbowl tonight.
The official synopsis for Skyscraper is as follows:
Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.
Well, this wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. Initially, from hearing the film title I was expecting something along the lines of Towering Inferno but it definitely looks more like it could be Dwayne Johnson’s Die Hard.
Skyscraper stars Dwayne Johnson, Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Roland Møller, Pablo Schreiber, Byron Mann, Hannah Quinlivan, Noah Taylor, Jason Day, Byron Lawson and Elfina Luk.
The film is scheduled for cinematic release on the 13th July 2018.
