Deadline is reporting that Tao Okamoto, Julia Jones, Kiki Sukezane And Zahn McClarnon have rounded out the cast for the upcoming second season of HBO drama Westworld.
Based on the 1973 Michael Crichton film and created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, set within a technologically advanced Wild West themed amusement park populated by android hosts.
Tao Okamoto (whose credits include Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and She’s Just A Shadow) will be playing the role of Hanaryo, Julia Jones (whose credits include Longmire and Wind River) will be playing the role of Kohana, Kiki Sukezane (whose credits include Heroes Reborn and Lost In Space) will be playing the role of Sakura, and Zahn McClarnon (whose credits include Longmire and Braven) will be playing the role of Akecheta. In the same report it’s stated that Martin Sensmeir will be returning in season 2 as Wanahton.
The first season cast included Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins Jr. For the second season, Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum, who had recurring roles in the first season, have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming second season and joining the cast are Katja Herbers, Neil Jackson, Jonathan Tucker, Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares, Betty Gabriel and Hiroyuki Sanada.
The second season premieres on the 22nd April 2018.
