Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for the return of horror icon Michael Myers in Halloween.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

The script is written by Jeff Fradley, Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, with Green helming the film. The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Omar J. Dorsey, Miles Robbins, Dylan Arnold, Drew Scheid, Rob Niter and Rhian Rees.

Halloween is scheduled for cinematic release on the 19th October 2018.
