The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Mary J. Blige has signed up to star in Paramount Players horror thriller Body Cam.
Body Cam will tell the story of several LAPD officers who are haunted by a malevolent spirit that is tied to the murder of a black youth at the hands of two white cops, all of which are caught on a body cam video that was destroyed in a cover-up.
Mary J. Blige (whose credits include Sherlock Gnomes and Mudbound) will be playing the role of an officer who becomes rocked by visions and begins to investigate the cover-up.
The script was written by Richmond Riedel, then was rewritten by Nic McCarthy and John Ridley. Malik Vitthal (Imperial Dreams) will be helming the film and Matt Kaplan will serve as producer on the project.
