Lionsgate has released the official trailer for a reimagining of the origins of Robin Hood.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Robin of Loxley a war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

While I feel this trailer gives probably too much of its action sequences away, I still can’t shake the King Arthur: Legend of the Sword vibes I’m getting from this film.

Robin Hood stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, Eve Hewson, Jamie Dornan, Tim Minchin, Paul Anderson, Josh Herdman and Björn Bengtsson and is scheduled for cinematic release on the 21st November 2018.
