Deadline is exclusively reporting that Hilary Swank is set to star in Deon Taylor’s noir thriller Fatale.

Fatale, written by David Loughery, focuses on a married man who is tricked into a murder scheme by a seductive female police detective.

Speaking to Deadline about casting Swank, Taylor said:

Getting tough, smart, beautiful, and perplexing all in one performance is daunting – until you get Hilary Swank, then you breathe easier and things get really exciting. We’re really looking forward to making this movie and letting Hilary do what she does best – command the screen.

The report states that Hilary Swank (whose recent credits include Logan Lucky and Trust) will be playing the role of the detective. As well as directing the project, Deon Taylor will be producing under his Hidden Empire Film Group banner alongside partners Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith.

Production for Fatale is set to commence next month in Los Angeles.
