Variety is exclusively reporting that Post Malone, Alan Arkin, Iliza Shlesinger, Bokeem Woodbine, Hope Wilson and James DuMont are the latest names to join the cast of Netflix crime drama Wonderland.
The story follows Spenser who, fresh out of prison, is sucked back into Boston’s underbelly as he uncovers the truth about a sensational murder and the twisted conspiracy behind it.
The film is being adapted from a book that is part of the Spenser series, written by American mystery writer Robert B. Parker and later Ace Atkins.
The report doesn’t state what roles the new additions will be playing, but it is notable that the Post Malone casting will mark the rappers acting debut. They will join a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg and Winston Duke.
Peter Berg is attached to direct as well as produce alongside Mark Wahlberg, Neal H. Moritz under his Original Films banner and Stephen Levinson. The Spenser character has appeared in forty-eight novels, all New York Times bestellers. The novel is being adapted by Sean O’Keefe and Toby Ascher will serve as executive producer on the project alongside Film 44’s John Logan Pierson.
