The Kid Who Would Be King: Official Trailer Released Online


20th Century Fox have released the official trailer for The Kid Who Would Be King, Joe Cornish’s modern take on Arthurian legend.

 

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Old school magic meets the modern world in the epic adventure The Kid Who Would Be King. Alex thinks he’s just another nobody, until he stumbles upon the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur. Now, he must unite his friends and enemies into a band of knights and together, with the legendary wizard Merlin, take on the wicked enchantress Morgana. With the future at stake, Alex must become the great leader he never dreamed he could be.

 

This is Joe Cornish’s directorial followup to 2011’s Attack The Block (he has written the screenplay’s for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and Ant-Man since then) and stars Louis Serkis (son of Andy Serkis), Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor, Rhianna Doris, Denise Gough, Patrick Stewart and Rebecca Ferguson.

 

The Kid Who Would Be King is scheduled for cinematic release on the 1st March 2019.
