Supergirl: Azie Tesfai Lands Recurring Role For Season 4

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Azie Tesfai has signed up for a recurring role for the upcoming fourth season of superhero drama series Supergirl.


After Supergirl defeated Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army at the end of the second season, the third season focused on Kara Danvers having to battle against Kryptonian worldkiller known as Reign, who was also transported to Earth just before Krypton’s destruction. Living out her life as Samantha Arias, she remained unaware of her origins until her powers started to manifest, then becoming Supergirl’s biggest adversary. The fourth season will see Kara having to take on Agent Liberty.


Azie Tesfai (whose credits include Jane The Virgin and Superstore) will be playing the role of Kelly Olsen, the sister of Jimmy Olsen. Kelly is an intelligent and insightful woman who spent time in the military in order to pay for medical school. She’s recently discharged from the military and is currently finishing her training as a psychiatrist. She’s got a large heart and cares deeply about others.


The fourth season also stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jesse Rath, David Harewood, Katie McGrath, Jeremy Jordan, Sam WitwerNicole MainesApril Parker JonesDavid AjalaRhona MitraRobert BakerBruce Boxleitner and Anthony Konechny.
