Bosch: Renewed For Sixth Season At Amazon

Media outlets are reporting that Amazon has renewed drama series Bosch for a sixth season, with its fifth season not premiering till sometime in 2019.


The series is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels about LAPD homicide detective Harry Bosch. The fourth season focused on an attorney being murdered on the eve of his civil rights trial against the LAPD and Bosch is assigned to lead a task force to solve the crime the city erupts in a riot. Bosch must pursue every lead, even if it turns the spotlight back on his own department. One murder intertwines with another, and Bosch must reconcile his past to find a justice that has long eluded him.


Michael Connelly, who also executive produce’s the show, said:

I’m on the set where we are wrapping up the filming of Season 5 and now this great news that we get to do it again with a sixth season. Can’t wait!


Albert Cheng, co-head of television at Amazon Studios, released a statement saying:

Bosch is a customer and critical favourite and Amazon Prime members are fans of this long-running series that delivers strong storytelling, complex characters, and exceptional performances. We are happy to continue to work with [production studio] Fabrik [Entertainment], Michael Connelly, and the rest of the team on this artful procedural drama.
