Deadline is reporting that Jerrika Hinton and Lena Olin are the latest names to join the cast of Amazon’s upcoming drama series The Hunt.
Inspired by real-life events, The Hunt revolves around a group of Nazi hunters living in New York in 1977. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.
Jerrika Hinton (whose credits include Grey’s Anatomy and Here And Now) will be playing the role of Millie Malone, a gutsy FBI agent who’s marginalised in the Bureau because of her race and gender. Lena Olin (whose credits include Alias and Riviera) will be playing the role of a Nazi.
The ten-episode drama is created and written by David Weil, while Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions are producing the project with Sonar Entertainment. Nikki Toscano will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series.
