Deadline is exclusively reporting that Kate Mulvany, James Le Gros, Ebony Obsidian, Caleb Emery, Henry Hunter Hall and Jeannie Berlin are the latest names to join the cast of Amazon’s upcoming drama series The Hunt.
Inspired by real-life events, The Hunt revolves around a group of Nazi hunters living in New York in 1977. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.
Kate Mulvany (whose credits include The Great Gatsby and Lambs of God) will be playing the role of Sister Harriet, one of the members of The Hunt.
James Le Gros (whose credits include Wildling and The Passage) will be playing the role of veteran FBI agent Detective Grimbsy who is also Millie’s boss at the New York bureau.
Ebony Obsidian (whose credits include If Beale Street Could Talk and Tough Love) will be playing the role of Carol Hawthorne, Jonah’s neighbour and romantic interest.
Caleb Emery (Whose credits include Good Girls and Goosebumps) and Henry Hunter Hall (whose credits include Harriet and Selah and the Spades) will be playing the roles of Jonah’s best friends Arthur “Bootyhole” McGuigan and Sherman “Cheeks” Johnson respectively.
Jeannie Berlin (whose credits include The First and The Night Of) will be playing the role of Jonah’s grandmother.
The ten-episode drama is created and written by David Weil, while Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions are producing the project with Sonar Entertainment. Nikki Toscano will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series.
The new additions join a cast that includes Logan Lerman, Al Pacino, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Greg Austin, Dylan Baker and Josh Radnor.
