Deadline is exclusively reporting that Scott Mescudi, also known as Kid Cudi, is the latest name to join the cast of the upcoming Bill and Ted sequel Bill And Ted Face The Music.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.
The report states that Scott Mescudi’s (whose credits include Need For Speed and Entourage) role is being kept under wraps. He’ll be joining a cast that includes Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving.
The film is written by the franchise’s original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, with Dean Parisot directing. Scott Kroopf is serving as producer on the project alongside Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce of Hammerstone Studios, with Steven Soderbergh serving as an executive producer alongside Scott Fischer, John Ryan Jr. and John Santilli.
Production is scheduled to commence this summer in New Orleans and the film is scheduled for cinematic release on the 21st August 2020.
