At the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic Con, Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen were out to briefly discuss the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series WandaVision, which also announced that they’ll be joined by Teyonah Parris who will be starring as Monica Rambeau.
Vision and Scarlet Witch are some of Marvel Comic’s most enduring characters, with a love story that’s been told through many decades. Vision is a synthezoid who was created by Ultron, one of the Avengers’ greatest enemies, and is a being who longs for human understanding. Scarlet Witch, alter ego of Wanda Maximoff, has various sorcery abilities. The two have married and had kids in the comics.
All that was revealed about the series was that it will be “like nothing you ever seen before” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it will take place after Avengers: Endgame. The series is being written and shownrun by Jac Schaeffer.
Teyonah Parris (whose credits include Chi-Raq and Point Blank) will be playing the adult version of Monica Rambeau, who appeared in Captain Marvel and was portrayed by Akira Akbar.
WandaVision will be available on the Disney streaming service in Spring 2021.
