It was announced during the presentation for HBO Max that Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi series Raised By Wolves will now be moving from the TNT network to the streaming service platform.
Raised By Wolves focuses on two androids, Father and Mother, tasked with raising human children on a mysterious planet. As the colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a difficult task.
Kevin Reilly, chief content officer at HBO Max and president of TBS, TNT and truTV, said:
As we strive to set a high creative bar for HBO Max, there’s no better person to set that bar than Ridley Scott as he delivers his first season of yet another incredible vision realised.
Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, added:
The breathtaking worlds, compelling characters and intricate storylines that Ridley, Aaron and team have created for this project are mesmerising.
Around this time last year Raised By Wolves was given a series order by TNT but despite casting announcements and wrapping production in Cape Town, South Africa, there hasn’t been a hint of a premiere date or trailer to begin promoting the show. Raised by Wolves is created by Aaron Guzikowski and will serve as showrunner and also executive producer alongside Ridley Scott (who will be directing), David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner and Mark Huffam.
Raised By Wolves stars Travis Fimmel, Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong and Matias Varela.
