Home Alone: Archie Yates And Rob Delaney To Star In Disney+ Film, Ellie Kemper In Talks To Join


Variety is exclusively reporting that Archie Yates and Rob Delaney have been cast in the Disney+ upcoming adaptation of Home Alone, while Ellie Kemper is still in negotiations to join.

 

The report states that sources tell them that Archie Yates (who stars in Jojo Rabbit) will not be playing Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin in the 1990 original film), but a new character in a similar premise to the original franchise, which was that a child is left behind while his family heads to Paris over the holidays. During that time, he must protect the house from a pair of burglars (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern in the original film.

 

The report also states that Ellie Kemper has not closed yet. The film is being written by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell, with Dan Mazer attached to direct. Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson will serve as producers on the project.
