Deadline is reporting that Love, Victor, the spinoff series of 2018 film Love, Simon, is now moving networks, from Disney+ to Hulu.
The spinoff series will be set in the world of the film and focus on Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city and struggling with his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of High School.
The report states that due to the nature of the spinoffs intention of handling a realistic portrayal of issues faced by young adults may not be appropriate for families to watch with their young kids on the Disney+ streaming service, and will follow similar footsteps to the Zoe Kravitz version of High Fidelity having to move from Disney+ to Hulu.
Love, Victor is believed to premiere in June, LGBTQ Pride month.
