Deadline is exclusively reporting that Dylan Walsh is the latest name to join the cast of the upcoming CW-DC drama series Superman And Lois.
The series will follow the world’s most famous superhero and comic’s most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Dylan Walsh (whose credits include Nip/Tuck and Blue Bloods) will be playing the role of Lois’s father, General Samuel Lane, a no-nonsense Army general who’s determined to keep America, and the world, safe from all threats – from this world or beyond. Lane’s a workaholic who demands nothing but excellence from all those in his life. Glenn Morshower previously recurred as the character in the first season of CW’s Supergirl.
Todd Helbing, who was showrunner on The Flash for a few seasons, is writing the project as well as executive producing alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Dylan Walsh joins a cast that includes Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass and Alexander Garfin.
