Universal have released the official trailer for the upcoming Blumhouse psychological thriller You Should Have Left starring Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
Theo Conroy is a successful middle-aged man whose marriage to his much younger actress wife, Susanna is shredding at the seams, frayed by her secretiveness, his jealousy, and the shadow of his past. In an effort to repair their relationship, Theo and Susanna book a vacation at a stunning, remote modern home in the Welsh countryside for themselves and their six-year-old daughter, Ella. What at first seems like a perfect retreat distorts into a perfect nightmare when Theo’s grasp on reality begins to unravel and he suspects that a sinister force within the house knows more than he or Susanna have revealed, even to each other.
Well hopefully the film is more thrilling then this generic trailer suggests, considering it sees David Koepp and Kevin Bacon reuniting over twenty years later after working on Stir of Echoes. The film is adapting the bestselling German novel by Daniel Kehlmann.
The film is adapted and directed by David Koepp and also stars Avery Essex, Geoff Bell and Colin Blumenau.
You Should Have Left will become available On Demand from the 19th June 2020.
