Apple TV+ have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi series Foundation, which is a series adaptation of based on Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi novel trilogy.

The series is set to chronicle the epic saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.

The ten-episode series hails from David Goyer, Josh Friedman and Skydance TV. David Goyer serves as showrunner, as well as executive producer on the project alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross. Josh Friedman and Robyn Asimov, Isaac’s daughter, also serve as executive producers on the series.

Foundation stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann and Cassian Bilton.

Foundation will be available on the streaming service sometime in 2021.
