Netflix have released the official trailer for the upcoming immigration drama series Stateless.
The official synopsis for the series is as follows:
The series centres on four strangers in an immigration detention centre in the Australian desert: an airline hostess escaping a suburban cult, an Afghan refugee fleeing persecution, a young Australian father escaping a dead-end job and a bureaucrat caught up in a national scandal. When their lives intersect they are pushed to the brink of sanity, yet unlikely and profound emotional connections are made amongst the group.
The series is created by Tony Ayres, Elise McCredie and Cate Blanchett and is based on the true story of Cornelia Rau, with the series originally airing in Australia on ABC between March and April.
The series stars Yvonne Strahovski, Asher Keddie, Fayssal Bazzi, Marta Dusseldorp, Dominic West, Cate Blanchett, Jai Courtney, Soraya Heidari, Rachel House, Kate Box, Clarence Ryan, Claude Jabbour, Rose Riley, Helana Sawires and Darren Gilshenan.
Stateless will become on the streaming service from the 8th July 2020.
