Pirates Of The Caribbean: Christina Hodson Set To Write And Margot Robbie Set To Star

The Hollywood Reporter is exclusively reporting that Christina Hodson is attached to write and Margot Robbie attached to star in a Pirates of the Caribbean project at Disney.

The report states that while the project is in early development, meaning any plot details are being kept under wraps at the moment, this particular project is not intended to be a spinoff of the long-running franchise led by Jack Sparrow, but rather an entirely original story with new characters under the Pirates of the Caribbean moniker, itself inspired by the long-running attraction at Disneyland.

There’s already another project in the pipeline in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, with Craig Mazin and Ted Elliott developing the story for it, with the franchise being one of the biggest grossing franchise of all time, earning over $4.5bn over five films.

Christina Hodson is fast becoming one of the go-to writers in Hollywood for studios as she’s recently written for films such as the Transformers film Bumblebee, this years Bird of Prey (starring Margot Robbie) and is currently attached to write the scripts for two other DC film properties, The Flash and Batgirl.
