Deadline is reporting that Kenan Thompson, Ally Maki and Chris Parnell are the latest names to join the cast of the Disney+ adaptation of Home Alone.
While there’s no official logline for the reboot, but it’s believed that the film will follow a young boy at war with a couple over a stolen figurine.
The report confirms that the trio were part of the cast which was in the middle of filming when production shut down in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was also revealed by the Disinsider that Aisling Bea, Pete Holmes, Timothy Simons and Mikey Day were part of the ensemble, with the core cast being Archie Yates, Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney.
The original Home Alone, released in 1990, was a huge success for 20th Century Fox, earning two Academy Award nominations and turned child actor Macaulay Culkin into an instant star in the 90s.
The film is written by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell and directed by Dan Mazer.
