Crime Drama Series From Brian Grazer, Terence Winter And Nicholas Pileggi In Development At Showtime

Deadline is exclusively reporting that Showtime are developing a crime drama series from Brian Grazer, Terence Winter and Nicholas Pileggi.

The crime drama series, which is currently untitled, will be written by Terence Winter and will be inspired by Nicholas Pileggi’s in-depth chronology of organised crime in America, which is also the history of corruption in America, as seen through the eyes of the mafia’s First Family.

This series should be on the radar for crime drama fans, with Nicholas Pileggi, who started his career as a journalist, being known for his novels Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family and Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas, which will then adapted into films from Martin Scorsese, the crime classics Goodfellas and Casino, which Pileggi co-wrote the scripts. Terence Winter is known for his work on The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, while Brian Grazer is a veteran producer, with his credits including 24, Empire and Friday Night Lights.

Showtime and Imagine Television Studios will be producing the series, with Terence Winter, Nicholas Pileggi and Brian Grazer serving as executive producers alongside Samie Kim Falvey.
