Hunters: Drama Series Renewed For Second Season At Amazon

Media outlets are reporting that Amazon have renewed drama series Hunters for a second season.

Hunters follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios, released a statement saying:

With Hunters, David Weil’s bold vision and fearless imagination powered a thrilling, twisty, action-packed first season that engaged Prime Video customers around the world. We are thrilled that David, Jordan and the Hunters will be back with us for more.

David Weil, series creator, also released a statement saying:

I am beyond grateful to Jen and the Amazon family for their continued extraordinary support of Hunters. Alongside our magnificent cast, incredible crew, and brilliant writers and producers, I am more eager than ever to share the next chapter of the Hunters saga with the world.

I will admit, I was slightly worried that we might not be getting a followup season since the first season debuted back towards the end of February this year and while most of their original series are renewed either the first month before/after its release, news appeared quiet on the Hunters front. Now it will be interesting to see what Weil and the creative team come up with for the second season.

The first season of Hunters starred Logan Lerman, Al Pacino, Jerrika Hinton, Tiffany Boone, Josh Radnor, Dylan Baker, Kate Mulvany, Greg Austin , Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane and Saul Rubinek.
