Zack Snyder’s Justice League: DC FanDome Teaser Trailer Released Online, Will Be Four-Part Miniseries

HBO Max have released the teaser trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which was revealed at the panel at DC FanDome.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Following the death of Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Batman and Wonder Woman recruit the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to form the Justice League and protect the world from Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons, who seek the three Mother Boxes.

During the Snyder’s Justice League showcase at DC FanDome, the director revealed that his cut will be released in four parts, so it can be viewed as a four-hour long film or as a four part miniseries. The director answered questions from both cast and fans, stating that in his version we will be getting more of Cyborg and The Flash, with Cyborg in particular being the ‘heart’ of the film.

Use of song choice in the trailer aside (I’m sorry, but the use of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ transported me back to Snyder’s previous film Watchmen and we know exactly what scene that was used in), I’m still intrigued to see how Zack’s vision will look as the final product. The trailer definitely showcases that we’ll get more Victor Stone/Cyborg and Barry Allen/The Flash here, and it’s nice to have Joe Morton get more to do as Victor’s father Silas Stone and Kiersey Clemons finally appears in this cut as Iris West. As for the look of Darkseid…considering the variables that does into designing and executing that character, I don’t mind it but not necessarily a big fan of it either.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Amy Adams, Connie Nielsen, Joe Morton, Aber Heard, Kiersey Clemons and Ray Porter.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be coming to HBO Max in 2021.
