Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that the second season of the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, will premiere on Disney+ on the 30th October 2020.
The series takes place after the fall of the Empire and the death of Darth Vader, as well as before the emergence of the First Order, focusing on a bounty hunter and gunfighter that is the native of Mandalore, the home planet of known bounty hunter’s Boba Feat and Jango Feat, as he travels to the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The plot details for season 2 are being kept under wraps currently, bar the exception of roles being played by guest stars. The series is nominated for fifteen Emmy awards, including outstanding drama series.
The second season of The Mandalorian will star Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Julia Jones, Ming-Na Wen, Bill Burr, Michael Biehn, Rosario Dawson, Temuera Morrison, Katee Sackhoff and Timothy Olyphant.
