Netflix have released the teaser trailer for the upcoming Aaron Sorkin drama The Trial Of The Chicago 7.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

What was intended to be a peaceful protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention turned into a violent clash with police and the National Guard. The organisers of the protest—including Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden and Bobby Seale—were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot and the trial that followed was one of the most notorious in history.

The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jeremy Strong, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Alex Sharp, Frank Langella, Mark Rylance, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Michael Keaton, William Hurt, J.C MacKenzie, Thomas Middleditch, Noah Robbins, Daniel Flaherty, Ben Shenkman, Max Adler and Wayne Duvall.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 will become available on the streaming service on the 16th October 2020.
