IFC Films have released the official trailer for Stardust, the upcoming drama about singer-songwriter David Bowie.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
David Bowie is one of the most seminal legends in music history; but who was the man behind the many faces? In 1971, a 24-year-old fledgling David Bowie is sent to America to promote his newest record, The Man Who Sold the World. Leaving behind his pregnant wife Angie, Bowie and his band embark on a makeshift coast-to-coast promotional tour with struggling Mercury Records publicist Rob Oberman. Stardust offers a glimpse behind the curtain of the moments that inspired the creation of Bowie’s first and most memorable alter ego Ziggy Stardust, capturing the turning point that cemented his career as one of the world’s greatest cultural icons.
The film is directed by Gabriel Range, who co-wrote the screenplay with Christopher Bell, and stars Johnny Flynn, Marc Maron, Aaron Poole, Roanna Cochrane and Jena Malone.
Stardust is scheduled for limited cinematic release as well as appear On Demand on the 25th November 2020.
