Peacemaker, who will appear on the big screen in The Suicide Squad in the tail-end of summer 2021, is a man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The exact plot of the series, much like the upcoming Suicide Squad film, is being kept under wraps but it is being described as an action adventure comedy.
Danielle Brooks (whose credits include Orange Is The New Black and Close Enough) will be playing the role of Leota Adebayo. Robert Patrick (whose credits include Perry Mason and Honest Thief) will be playing the role of Auggie Smith. Jennifer Holland (whose credits include Sun Records and Brightburn) will be reprising her role from The Suicide Squad, NSA Agent Emilia Harcourt, who works with A.R.G.U.S to monitor the Suicide Squad. Chris Conrad (whose credits include Patriot and Perpetual Grace, LTD) will be playing the role of Adrian Chase aka The Vigilante, a hand-to-hand combatant, a brilliant marksman and a master of the lariat. Chase was a New York City District Attorney who sought justice in his own way as his alter ego after his wife and kids were killed by mobsters. He also has the ability to heal quickly and regenerate his body from injuries as serious as stabbings or gunshot wounds. Adrian Chase has been portrayed on the small screen in the television series Arrow by Josh Segarra.
James Gunn will be writing the eight-episode series and will be directing most of it. James Gunn will also serve as executive producer alongside The Suicide Squad producer Peter Safran, and John Cena will serve as co-executive producer. Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television will produce.
