Variety is exclusively reporting that Ed Harris, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Dagmara Dominczyk, Jack Farthing and Alba Rohrwacher are the latest names to join the cast of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s upcoming directorial debut The Lost Daughter.
The Lost Daughter focuses on an elegant college professor on a seaside summer vacation who becomes consumed by Nina and her young daughter as she watches them on the beach, only to be overwhelmed by fearful memories of early motherhood. Forced to consider the unconventional choices she made as a young mother and the consequences they had for her family, she begins to unravel.
The report doesn’t state what roles the new additions will be playing in the upcoming film.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is producing the project alongside Charlie Dorfman, Talia Kleinhendler and Osnat Handelsman-Keren.
The new additions will join a cast that includes Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard and Paul Mescal.
