Media outlets are reporting that Hulu have renewed comedy series Woke for a second season.
The official synopsis for the series is as follows:
Woke follows Keef, An African-American Cartoonist finally on the verge of mainstream success when an unexpected incident changes everything. Keef must now navigate the new voices and ideas that confront and challenge him, all without setting aflame everything he’s already built.
There’s no official start date for the second season, though it is reported that it will consist of eight episodes.
The series is based on the life and work of artist Keith Knight, who also developed the series alongside Marshall Todd. The co-creators serve as executive producers alongside showrunner Jay Dyer, Maurice ‘Mo’ Marable, Aeysha Carr, Richie Schwartz, John Will, Will Gluck and Eric Christian Olsen.
The first season stars Lamorne Morris, T. Murph, Blake Anderson, Rose McIver and Sasheer Zamata.
