Deadline is reporting that Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña and Casey W. Johnson have signed up to join the cast of Apple TV+ drama series For All Mankind for the upcoming second season.
The official synopsis for the series is as follows:
Told through the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers and their families, For All Mankind presents an aspirational world where NASA and the space program remained a priority and a focal point of our hopes and dreams.
The second season takes place in 1983, at the height of the Cold War, as the Soviet Union and United States battle it out for control over lunar resources on the moon. As tensions rise, the various characters see the militarisation of NASA impact their own lives, with the threat of a nuclear war looming.
Cynthy Wu (whose credits include Holidate and American Vandal) will be playing the role of Kelly Baldwin, the daughter of Ed and Karen. Coral Peña (whose credits include Chemical Hearts and The Post) will be playing the role of Aleida Rosales, a brilliant yet troubled engineer. Casey W. Johnson (whose credits include GLOW and Rise) will be playing the role of Danny Stevens, the son of Gordo and Tracy.
The trio will join a cast that includes Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten and Jodi Balfour.
For All Mankind season two will premiere on the streaming service on the 19th February 2021.
