Netflix have announced that Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn, Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko and Robert Englund have joined the cast of Stranger Things for the upcoming fourth season.
The synopsis for the third season is as follows:
It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.
Jamie Campbell Bower (whose credits include The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and Sweeney Todd) will be playing the role of Peter Ballard, a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital. Tried of the brutality he witnesses day after day, will Peter finally take a stand? Eduardo Franco (whose credits include Booksmart and The Binge) will be playing the role of Argyle, Jonathan’s new best friend and fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza. Joseph Quinn (whose credits include Catherine the Great and Howards End) will be playing the role of Eddie Munson, the head of Hawkins High’s official D&D club, The Hellfire Club. Tom Wlaschiha (whose credits include Game of Thrones and Das Boot) will be playing the role of Dimitri, a Russian prison guard who befriends Hopper. But can he be trusted?
Sherman Augustus (whose credits include Into The Badlands and Westworld) will be playing the role of Lt. Colonel Sullivan, an intelligent, no-nonsense man who believes he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all. Mason Dye (whose credits include Bosch and The Goldbergs) will be playing the role of Jason Carver, a handsome, rich athlete who is dating the most popular girl in school. But as a nw evil threatens Hawkins, his perfect world begins to unravel. Nikola Djuricko (whose credits include Genius and In The Land of Blood and Honey) will be playing the role of Yuri, a seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes, cold hard cash and crunchy style peanut butter. Robert Englund (whose credits include A Nightmare On Elm Street and Regular Show) will be playing the role of Victor Creel, a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950’s.
The new additions will join a cast that includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Cara Buono, Maya Hawke and Brett Gelman.
