STXfilms have released the official trailer for the upcoming legal drama The Mauritanian.
The official synopsis for the film is as follows:
Captured by the U.S. Government, Mohamedou Ould Slahi languishes in prison for years without charge or trial. Losing all hope, Slahi finds allies in defense attorney Nancy Hollander and her associate Teri Duncan . Together they face countless obstacles in a desperate pursuit for justice. Their controversial advocacy, along with evidence uncovered by formidable military prosecutor, Lt. Colonel Stuart Couch, eventually reveals a shocking and far reaching conspiracy.
The film is based on Mohamed Ould Salahi’s best-selling memoir, adapted by M. B. Traven, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. The film is directed by Kevin Macdonald and stars Jodie Foster, Tahar Rahim, Shailene Woodley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zachary Levi, Langley Kirkwood and Corey Johnson.
The Mauritanian is scheduled for cinematic release on the 19th February 2021.
