Deadline is exclusively reporting that Universal Pictures Content Group are close to acquiring all international rights for the U.S high school drama film The Fallout.
The Fallout focuses on High School student Vada, who navigates the emotional fallout she experiences in the wake of a school tragedy while relationships with her family, friends and view of the world are forever altered.
The film, which is currently in post-production, is written and directed by Megan Park, making her directorial feature debut. David Brown and Giulia Prenna are producers on the project under the Clear Horizon banner, alongside Joannie Burstein and Rebecca Miller for The Burstein Company, and 828 Media Capital’s Cara Shine and Todd Lundbohm. The film is financed by Clear Media Finance, SSS Film Capital and 828 Media Capital.
The Fallout stars Niles Fitch, Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Will Ropp, Lumi Pollack, Shailene Woodley, Julie Bowen and John Ortiz.
